Members of the Alliance Bank Junior Board of Directors met at the Monticello Public Library for an educational visit with Adkev employees, where they learned about the business and the qualities it takes to run a successful one.
During the visit, the members met Scot Evans and Amy Sokol, who presented on teamwork, adaptability, and innovation. Scot Evans passed around products and explained that they are a small part of a big machine, just as a business operates.
During the presentation to the group, the Junior Board members learned about internships, careers, and Adkev’s community involvement. The presentation highlighted how technology continues to shape and improve aspects of appliances and vehicles.
The experience gave students a better understanding of the business, its impact on the community and its employees, and how those benefits improve the company. The visit is one of several educational opportunities planned for the Junior Board this year, designed to expose members to a variety of careers and community services.
