Each year on Presidents’ Day, Alliance Bank employees convene to learn, celebrate, and grow together. The highlight of the day is always the announcement of the Terry Stevens Spirit of Alliance Award. Nominated by their peers, the winner demonstrates the core values of Alliance Bank in their daily actions.
Bank President Shane Pilarski began, “Dedication. Kindness. An unwavering willingness to help. These are just a few of the qualities teammates used to describe this year’s Spirit of Alliance recipient.” Shane continued with a quote from a colleague, “she always has caring actions and is always reliable. She is always there when I need.”
There was applause as Electronic Banking Specialist Danielle Jamieson made her way up to accept the award. Shane highlighted Danielle’s leadership in coordinating a small team that maintains an area of the town park, “a perfect example of service that extends beyond the walls of the bank.”
In 2012, former Bank President Terry Stevens announced the first Spirit of Alliance Award to recognize a team member who exemplifies service, reliability, and teamwork. When Terry passed away, it only seemed fitting to rename the award after him…a man who himself displayed mentorship, empathy, and servant leadership with confidence and humor. He and Kim shared a sense of humor and enjoyed the occasional bantering about their favorite sports teams.
“I am so honored to have received the Terry Stevens Spirit of Alliance Award,” expresses Danielle. “Being at Alliance Bank has been an incredible journey filled with growth. I am so thankful for everyone here who has encouraged me and helped me along the way. I never had the privilege of meeting Terry, but I can tell his legacy lives on every day at Alliance Bank.”
