We are beyond excited to announce Alliance Bank will build a new office on the historic Oxford Town Square. Alliance purchased the former grocery store property at 201 S. Howard Street. The existing structure will be demolished to make way for a new building to meet the evolving needs of our financial institution and the community we serve.

IMPROVED ACCESSIBILITY

This large parcel on the southeast corner of the Square will enable Alliance Bank to improve traffic flow, parking, and accessibility for our clients. Our Management team envisions a new building that compliments the historic character of the Square, while providing a welcoming space for our bankers to serve our clients’ financial needs.

A GIFT TO THE COMMUNITY

Alliance Bank is equally excited to announce we donated our current building – our home for 121 years – to Discover Oxford, Indiana. In addition to the main building at 100 S. Justus Street, Alliance donated the adjacent building at 108 S. Justus Street and our employee parking lot along Smith Street.

“Our institution was established to serve the first families who called Oxford home and the entrepreneurs who once filled these buildings on the Square. Over the last few decades, we have been saddened by the deterioration and loss of business around us. But today, we are thrilled with the momentum of Discover Oxford and local investors to revitalize the Square. It is our honor to be a part of their efforts to breathe life back into our small rural town.”

NEW BEGINNINGS

Alliance Bank did not take this decision lightly. After careful evaluation, it became clear our multi-level building was more space than we need for our banking team. We considered many options before making the decision to build new and selecting the location. It was important for us to remain in the heart of this community. Alliance will continue to operate in our current location, leased from Discover Oxford, until our new facility is complete (timeline TBD).

We have entrusted the future of these historic structures to the Discover Oxford Board, encouraging them to repurpose as they see fit for the benefit of our community. Alliance Bank is thankful to the Benton County families who have relied on us for their banking needs for generations and look forward to serving many new clients.

Discover Oxford Indiana, Inc. was formed in the fall of 2022 as an OCRA Downtown Affiliate in the Indiana Main Street Network. Their mission is to stimulate community and entrepreneurial spirit, leading to the revitalization of the Oxford Town Square and beyond. For more information, visit DiscoverOxfordIN.org.
