If you are ever asked for confidential information or suspect you are being tricked, HANG UP!

The banking industry has recently noticed an increase in scammers impersonating banks. Please be on high alert for unsolicited phone calls or text messages claiming to be your bank.

  • If you ever receive a call or text regarding your account, ignore it and call the number you have saved for your Bank. That ensures you are not talking to an impersonator.
  • We will NEVER ask you for your Digital Banking password.
  • We will NEVER ask you for a verification code sent to your cell via text.
  • We will NEVER ask for your Debit Card number…we already know it.

Recent scam attempts have generally started with a text asking if you have changed your online banking credentials or made a recent purchase with your Debit Card. People who respond are then getting a phone call from someone pretending to be from their bank. We will never pressure you to give us passwords, codes, or account information.

Be alert. Be protective. Don’t be a victim.
