Alliance Bank officially celebrated the grand opening of its new Oxford office on Thursday, September 24th. The event brought together clients, community leaders, retired employees, board members, and friends of the bank to mark an exciting new chapter in the bank’s long-standing commitment to Benton County.

For more than a century, Alliance Bank has served local families, businesses, farmers, and community organizations across North Central Indiana. Those relationships span generations in the Oxford community. Throughout the celebration, many longtime clients stopped by to share memories, visit with familiar faces, and see the next chapter of Alliance Bank’s story unfold. Former employees also returned for the occasion, offering a meaningful reminder of the people who helped build the bank’s legacy in the community. Alliance Bank’s investment in Oxford reflects its continued commitment to providing local banking services, supporting community growth, and helping future generations thrive.

COMMENTS FROM BENTON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Brenda Charlesworth speaks during the ribbon cutting on behalf of the Benton County Chamber of Commerce“Oxford’s revitalization is the result of businesses and organizations that believe in investing locally, and Alliance Bank has demonstrated that commitment time and again,” shared Alliance Bank Relationship Manager and Benton County Chamber of Commerce Board Member Brenda Charlesworth. “This new office is a beautiful addition to our historic town square and reflects confidence in the future of our community. Alliance Bank’s investment in Oxford supports not only its clients and team members, but also the continued growth and vitality of Benton County. The Chamber applauds Alliance Bank and its team for all they do to strengthen our community.”

Located at 201 S. Howard Street, the new office was designed to better serve clients through improved accessibility, convenience, and efficiency while maintaining the personalized service and local decision-making that clients have come to expect from Alliance Bank. The facility supports the evolving needs of customers while reinforcing the bank’s commitment to relationship banking and community investment.

COMMENTS FROM ALLIANCE BANK BOARD OF DIRECTORS

“A few years ago, our Board of Directors and leadership team evaluated our former Oxford office and recognized that its size and limited accessibility would continue to present challenges for both clients and employees,” said Alliance Bank Board Chair Jim Schoen. “As a lifelong resident of the Oxford community, I am especially proud of the Bank’s decision to remain on the Oxford Town Square and breathe new life into this prominent property along our main thoroughfare. This new office represents more than a building. It’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to this community and the people who have trusted us throughout the years. We are proud to continue investing in Oxford and providing local banking services that will help our community grow and thrive for generations to come.”

Alliance Bank’s investment in Oxford extends beyond its new office. The bank donated its former downtown building to Discover Oxford Indiana. The Indiana Main Street organization plans to sell the property to encourage new business growth on the town square and reinvest the proceeds into future revitalization efforts. Together, these investments demonstrate Alliance Bank’s ongoing commitment to the economic vitality and long-term success of the Oxford community.

“We are grateful to everyone who joined us during the celebration,” said Chief Lending Officer Jonathan Elkins. “Seeing longtime clients, former employees, community leaders, and neighbors come together reminded us that banking is ultimately about relationships. We are honored to be part of Oxford’s story and look forward to serving this community for generations to come.”

The bank looks forward to welcoming clients into its new home and continuing to help individuals, families, businesses, and farms achieve their goals for many years to come. For those considering a new banking relationship, the Oxford team welcomes the opportunity to share how Alliance Bank combines modern banking convenience with local decision-making and personal service rooted in the communities it serves.
