The Alliance Bank Jr Board of Directors had the opportunity to tour Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac during the month of February. We spoke with and asked questions to Steve Jarosinski-CEO, Linda Webb-Director of Nursing, and Cheryl Podell- HR Director. After finishing lunch we had the opportunity to tour the hospital and all of the departments within, giving us a better understanding of what certain positions and equipment do.

Pulaski Memorial Hospital was the idea of county officials and doctors who cared about the healthcare requirements of the local population. The doors first opened in 1963 to offer maternity, general surgery, and inpatient care to the community. Residents of Pulaski County and the neighboring areas have relied on the Pulaski Memorial Hospital for over 50 years. The hospital is still expanding. In November 2020, PMH started construction on a new extension. Since the hospital’s founding in 1963, this extension represents the hospital’s largest construction endeavor. When everything is finished, the square footage will be twice as big and include almost twice as many exam rooms. For more information call 574-946-2100 — Pulaski Memorial Hospital is located at 616 E 13th St – Winamac, IN 46996.

“Pulaski Memorial Hospital is dedicated to providing excellent healthcare to improve the health and quality of life for the people and communities we serve.”

Alliance Bank launched a Junior Board program in 2017 to introduce area high school students in to businesses and non-profits in their local communities. The Junior Board visits a local business each month of the school year, while also learning about local non-profit organizations and volunteering in their community.
